       This heart-shape earring motif was inspired by a necklace originally worn by the ancient Greeks in Mycenae.  Pre-Hellenic Period, 2nd century B.C.

       24 Karat gold-plate over pewter, enhanced by carnelian.  Measures approximately 0.7" x 1.15".
