Our Napoléon's Golden Bee was inspired by the Bee motif embroidered on the canopy of Napoléon 1st's Throne, Jean-François Garneray (1755-1837).

The Bee - symbol of immortality and resurrection, was considered the oldest emblem of the sovereigns of France. It was chosen as the link between the new dynasty to the very origins of France.
24 Karat enameled gold-plate over pewter. Measures approximately 3/4" x 1 1/8".
