In Christianity, it represents the deliverer or leader Christ. Ram is a Hebrew symbol of sacrifice, Iranian sign of virility, an emblem of the Persian empire.
In Greek mythology ram is savior of Odysseus and Phixus. In Ancient Egypt, it typified soul.
