Stag-reindeer Brooch

       The reindeer image was inspired by a recurrent theme among the ancient pastoral tribes who dominated Eastern Europe and Central Asia during the first millennium BC.  Our brooch is reminiscent of a Gold Stag Plaque, 4th century BC Western Asia, Scythian.  Original image on left.

       Enameled 24 Karat gold plate over pewter.   Approximate size: 1.75" x 1".
